This one is a real mongrel. The chords are typical Joe Pass-style jazz changes. But they're played in a kind of Nile Rodgers 'chucking' style which (because I'm not as good as him) comes across more Jackson 5. But not as good.

Either way, it's funky jazz chords to a pretty straight old skool hip-hop beat, with the melody line of the traditional track over the top on guitar. And lots of latin percussion, including the cuica, an instrument I found out about via Os Mutantes.
